Use Your Dental Insurance Wisely

With just a few months left of the year, it is a wise time to begin researching if you are using your dental insurance wisely. Most dental insurance runs yearly, which means you have November and December to take advantage of your benefits and any deductibles before everything resets on January 1.

Use Your Dental Insurance Wisely

>Here are a few ways you can be sure to maximize your family’s dental health without breaking your yearly budget.

Schedule That Second Check-Up

Two check-ups per year are covered by most dental plans, for each covered person. If you haven’t had the chance to schedule your second exam of the year, now is the time to get it on the calendar. At East Erie, we tend to fill up quickly with check-up appointments in the next few months, so be sure to call us today to secure a day and time that work for you.

Consider a Crown

Has your dentist recommended a crown, bridge, or another dental implant? If so, now could be the best time of the year to commit to the process. Take advantage of your lower deductible towards the end of the calendar year and schedule your appointment before December 31, 2019.

Teeth Whitening or Other Service

Does your insurance pay for teeth whitening, Invisalign or other cosmetic services? If so, schedule your appointments by the end of the year to take advantage of a lower deductible.

If you aren’t sure what your insurance situation is as you approach the end of 2019, call our offices. We are always happy to help our East Erie Dental clients learn more about their insurance, how much deductible they have left to pay in the year, and answer any questions about what is covered and what is not.
